Repaint interior walls

Build a decorating kit around the paint and wall finish you have chosen. Check what is already in your roller set before buying the same item twice.

MEASURE FIRST

Before you buy

  1. Match the applicator to the paint

    Read the paint maker’s application instructions, then check the brush or roller is intended for that coating. Harris distinguishes bristle material, shape and brush width; those are useful filters before choosing a set. Manufacturer reference

  2. Choose the roller for the wall texture

    Look at the existing surface. Harris separates rollers for smooth walls from those for textured surfaces. Keep the chosen sleeve’s width, core and frame fitting together when comparing replacements. Manufacturer reference

  3. Count the included pieces

    Check whether your selected roller set contains the sleeve, frame and tray, and whether the tray accepts that roller width. A sleeve-only offer does not complete the kit.

  4. Check before masking

    Choose tape for the actual surface and follow its application and removal instructions. Delicate finishes and freshly painted surfaces may need a different tape from general decorating work.
