Identify whether the connection is on the water inlet, high-pressure hose, trigger gun or accessory. These positions use different fittings, and a garden-hose connector must not be assumed suitable for the high-pressure side. Kärcher’s accessory guidance explicitly separates inlet connectors from high-pressure connections. Start with the exact washer, gun and hose part numbers, then look for a manufacturer-listed replacement or adapter. A matching thread name alone does not confirm the seal dimensions, pressure rating or complete compatibility.

Replacement hose and extension are different purchases

A replacement takes the place of the existing hose; an extension adds a connection to it. Kärcher’s 2.643-037.0 product sheet describes a two-part set linking a screw-thread extension hose to its Quick Connect arrangement and explicitly excludes hose-reel machines. Keep that restriction with the part number when comparing offers.

Record the complete machine article number, whether it has a hose reel, the gun identity and any existing adapter. Match the manufacturer’s compatibility list and instructions to that combination. Do not infer that every domestic washer or every professional washer from the same brand accepts the same connection.

Confirm limits before selecting an offer

Check the stated operating limits for the exact hose and fitting against the equipment instructions. The UK 2.641-721.0 reference specifies a maximum of 180 bar and 60°C for that named hose. Those limits do not establish the rating of an adapter or of every hose sold under the same brand. Confirm the complete approved assembly for your machine.
