Cabinet-handle fixing centres

For a replacement pull handle, measure between the centres of the existing screw holes. That measurement is different from the handle’s overall length, which may extend beyond both fixings. Single-hole knobs need their own diameter and projection checks. Compare the supplied screw length with the door or drawer-front thickness and the handle manufacturer’s fitting specification. Photographs often show several sizes and finishes together, so keep the selected centre spacing and finish in the order details.

MATCH THE DETAILS TO YOUR JOB

What to check before buying

  1. Match hole-centre spacing for pull handles, or confirm a single-hole fixing when choosing a knob.
  2. Check overall length, width and projection so adjacent doors, drawers and appliances have sufficient clearance.
  3. Compare door thickness and the specified screw thread and length; confirm which screw lengths are supplied.
  4. Count individual handles rather than pairs, and verify the exact finish and size selected in a multipack.
